Courtnie Johnson

Originally from the beautiful and historic small town of Eufaula, Alabama, Courtnie Shelley Johnson settled in Montgomery, Alabama, after completing a bachelor's degree in graphic design and marketing at Troy University. From an early age, Courtnie has been drawn to old materials and traditions, a curiosity that led her on the path toward calligraphy. She garners inspiration from history books, far-flung textiles and her kids to create pieces that are imaginative. When she is not addressing envelopes or filling her sketchpad with watercolor illustrations, you can find Courtnie thrifting, chasing after her brood, or enjoying inspired conversations with husband, Marc, in their Montgomery home.
